Suspect
Both an adjective and a noun the word 'suspect' is rumoured to have entered the English language about 1340 and to be derived from the French word 'suspicere'. Suspicere means to look up at, mistrust, suspect, and 'look at secretly'. Have you ever heard a better definition of poetry?
